Waxing

Before Care

The ideal length of hair is approximately 1/4” Take a warm shower before your appointment to help open your pores. Skip the lotion, gels and oils as it may interfere with hair removal. This also applies to tanning up to 24 hours before.

After Care

Stay clear of prolonged exposure to heat. This includes saunas, steam rooms, whirlpools, sunbathing as well as intense exercise for 24 hours after your wax. We advise keeping your freshly waxed areas clean and free of any products until the following day to avoid any irritation. Taking the time to exfoliate and moisturize regularly is the key to keeping your skin smooth soft and free of irritation.

Microblading

What is microblading?

Microblading, is the process of implanting colour pigment beneath the surface of the skin by means of a tiny, sterile, disposable need to produce the appearance of hair strokes, makeup, or to enhance the natural features of the face.

Does microblading hurt?

A topical anesthetic cream is used for numbing before your procedure. Pain threshold levels vary from person to person and every effort to ensure you remain comfortable for the entirety of the treatment.

How old do I have to be to get microblading?

You must be 18 years or older to receive this treatment.

Can I get microblading if I am pregnant or nursing?

As a precaution,we do not preform Microblading on pregnant or nursing women.

How long does microblading last?

Microblading is considered semi permanent and will not wash off, however they will fade over time and may need to be retouched every 6-18 months.

How many treatments are needed?

For most clients a minimum of 2 treatments are usually needed. With most procedures, the colour looks dramatically lighter after the first week. At the second session , we will assess the colour retention and make adjustments as necessary. We can always go darker and more dense at your next appointment.

Will cosmetic tattooing work well for me?

If you have extremely oily skin, the hair stroke Microblading technique will not work well for you. Your end result will look more powdered than you would expect. If you have little to no hair, your Microblading will appear more two dimensional than those clients who have more hair naturally. If you are iron deficient or anemic, your pigment may fade more quickly and bleeding / bruising may occur durning and after the treatment.

Lash Lifts

How long does a lash lift last?

It is different for everyone, if you have long thick, dense lashes they tend to last about 6 weeks. If your lashes are thin and sparse the lash lift can last 8 weeks.

Is it safe to have frequently?

We recommend waiting 2 to 3 months in between lash lifts. It is safe to do, however it is still a service that chemically manipulates your lashes so you should give them a good rest before redoing them to avoid damaging.

Can we do a lash lift and tint at the same time?

Yes, for people who don’t have extremely sensitive teary eyes we can do both services at the same time.

Lash Extensions

How long do lash extensions last?

They will last until your natural lash sheds. Approximately 2-4 weeks. You have approximately 150 follicles in your upper lash line and approximately 70 in your lower lash line. They grow and shed at different rates. There is the anagen phase, which we refer to as baby hairs. Then there is the catagen phase, which we call the teenagers and the telogen phase, or the adult hairs. The baby hairs are too weak so we try to use the teenage hairs and the adults. On a daily basis, you will be shedding lashes. It is healthy and normal to lose between 1 and 5 natural lashes per day. If you are losing more than 5 extensions per day and/or the extensions are shedding without being attached to the natural lash, let your lash technician know right away. Fall Shed is a thing!

Will extensions damage my natural lashes?

They will not damage your natural lashes if they are applied correctly. Choosing the proper length, diameter and applying the right amount of adhesive prevents damage.

How long does it take to apply a full set?

Depending on the style you choose, classic or hybrid, as well as the artist, it can take up to two - three hours for a full set.

What is the difference between classic and hybrid?

Classic lashes are a one-to-one. Meaning one lash extension applied to one mature natural lash. Hybrid lashes are a combination of classic lashes and handmade fans of two or more very light weight extensions applied to one mature natural lash.
